Eyelid Surgery

Droopy, puffy eyes and eyelids can result in a tired and aged appearance. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, eliminates excess skin and fat around the eyelids, resulting in a refreshed, youthful appearance. Eyelid surgery at our Florida practice can also improve vision that is impaired by sagging eyelids.

Eyelid surgery can be performed on the upper lids to eliminate drooping or on the lower lids to remove fat pockets from under the eyes. During upper eyelid surgery at our Florida practice, incisions are discreetly made in the natural folds and creases of the lids. Excess fat, muscle, and skin are removed, and the incisions are stitched closed with fine sutures. During lower eyelid surgery, the incision is made along the lash line. Excess fat and skin are removed and the incisions are closed with fine sutures. Face Lift

If you look in the mirror and see a face that does not reflect how young and vibrant you really feel, a face lift may be perfect for you. A face lift performed at our Florida practice eliminates or drastically improves the visible effects of aging by removing excess fat and tightening the muscles around the face and neck.

During the face lift procedure at our Florida facility, an incision is made at the hairline that extends in front of the ear and ends behind the earlobe. Excess skin is lifted and removed, and the remaining skin is pulled back and secured with sutures or small metal clips. The face lift procedure can take up to three hours and is performed under anesthesia. Side effects of face lift may include swelling, bruising, numbness, and tightness; however, most face lift patients at our Florida practice experience only minor discomfort, which can be controlled with medication prescribed by Dr. Trevisani. Recovery after face lift usually takes two to three weeks. The first night after face lift surgery, you are taken care of by our private duty nurse in our facility. BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® is a simple, safe, non-surgical solution to fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. BOTOX® Cosmetic works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles, giving the skin an even, rejuvenated appearance. During treatment, BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into the affected area with a tiny needle. There are very few side effects associated with BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, and there is no apparent scar or mark at the injection site.
