What is fractional laser skin resurfacing?

Laser resurfacing is a technique designed to minimize or eliminate irregularities of the facial skin, including wrinkles, fine lines, large pores, acne scars, and skin that was not responsive to facelift surgery. Most commonly treated areas include the face, chest, arms, and hands. Fractional laser skin resurfacing is also being used on surgical scars to aid in the healing process. Also known as lasabrasion, laser peel, and laser vaporization, laser resurfacing removes flawed skin with great precision, replacing it with healthier, suppler skin.

Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani proudly offers fractional laser skin resurfacing at his office serving the Orlando, Florida area. The fractional laser skin resurfacing procedure is performed using a fractional laser at our Orlando, Florida practice. Patients who undergo fractional laser skin resurfacing generally report minimal discomfort during the procedure, since the laser has a built-in cooling mechanism that protects the skin from overheating.
